About Us

Alo Fā is a Specialist Pasifika Sexual Violence Service, for Pasifika by Pasifika.  We are dedicated to serving Pasifika communities by providing free, culturally responsive support to individuals and families affected by sexual violence through psycho-social therapy, advocacy, and education.

Our team is based in Wellington CBD and extends our services to Porirua and the Hutt.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker who is committed to supporting individuals and families in their healing journey. This role involves crisis response, therapeutic support, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and culturally sensitive crisis response and therapeutic support.

• Working with other agencies to ensure holistic approach

• Integrate Pasifika cultural practices into therapeutic interventions.

• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community-based programs.

What we're looking for

• Qualified Social Worker with full registration with the NZ Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB).

• A strong understanding and appreciation of Pasifika values, culture, and protocols.

• In depth knowledge of sexual violence issues, or a willingness to develop expertise in this area.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.

• A full driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
