A personal note from Debbs
It is so incredible to sit here, contemplate and review four years of ECLIPSE. What was born from hope for the opportunity to increase both workforce and systemic capability, and to achieve three core personal objectives, has become something beyond my wildest dreams.
My three core goals are
Create sectoral awareness of the realities of coercive control, true positioning, lethality, and then move towards eventual criminalisation.
Ensure the intersection between family violence and suicide is officially identified, responded to, and eventually prevented.
To ensure lived experience voice informs all levels of practice, systemic and structural change.
And we have made so much progress, sometimes it is hard to believe, and I am beyond proud of myself and the incredible team that have chosen to walk with myself and ECLIPSE.
My book is out now - another massive achievement. All in all, I am just deeply humbled and grateful for all that life has brought the last four years, I am not afraid of hard work, nor am I afraid to dream big.
Thank you all, every single one of you for your support of ECLIPSE and your service every day to those who simply need someone to walk with them
