A tool designed to help assess the risk of abuse of older people has been developed by the University of Auckland’s Dr Kathy Peri.

Important new legislation to recognise and reduce the incidence of the Family Court system being used to perpetrate further acts of post relationship coercive control. Acts of court systemic coercion is often the only way for an abuser to retain control over a primary victim post separation. Court and Litigation abuse is merely another tool in the coercive control kete. This legislation recognises this abuse and highlights the need for change
